Zipline extends operations to the north-east part of Ghana, to places such as vobsi center which was commissioned on Saturday, September 12 at Kukua near Walewale in the northeast region is the fourth and is said to be the largest of all the centers set up by the company across the country.
Zipline is a drone delivery company that is targeted towards delivering vital health resources to health centers. The company has recently established one of its distribution centers in the northeast region of Ghana.
The General Manager of Zipline, Daniel Marfo mentioned that “Several other communities such as Sakogu and Fumbisi who during the rainy season have no access to medicines because of the state of their roads for the first time in years have access to the blood and medical products. As at 12 pm on Saturday, the Vobsi centre had already sent 40 packages cut off by the floods.”
The company has four distribution centers nationwide including
- Vobsi in Walewale in the North East Region which is meant to serve the northern part of Ghana
- Omenako in the Eastern Region
- Mampong in the Ashanti Region
- Sefwi-Wiawso in the Western Region .
These centers have the capacity to supply to over 1500 health centers in Ghana.
