WASSCE 2020 results still in processing stages, beware of fake news and fraudsters- WAEC warns candidates.
The West African exams council (WAEC) have cleared the air on the trending issue regarding the release of this year’s WASSCE results. In a statement issued by the examination body, they urged the general public especially candidates of WASSCE 2020 to disregard this falsehood made by some news portals and fake websites saying that the said results have been released.
Report from the council states clearly that, although marking of scripts has been completely dealt with, they are still in the stages of processing the results of candidates. The council also cautioned that, candidates should not tolerate persons claiming to alter results for a fee.

The statement from WAEC dated November 2, 2020, reads; “Co-ordination and Marking Exercises have been completed and processing of results as well as other post-examination activities are ongoing……….”
“the Council cautions candidates to be wary of websites announcing the release of the results and of persons who promise to upgrade results for a fee. These are activities of fraudsters and all stakeholders are hereby alerted accordingly. Furthermore, the Council urges all institutions to always authenticate results presented to them.”
