1 Million users on the waitlist in 2 days!

Microsoft’s revamped search engine Bing, which is powered by OpenAI’s ChatGPT, has attracted over one million users to its waitlist in just 48 hours, according to the tech giant.

The integration of ChatGPT has generated much interest in the search engine, which uses the large language model to understand queries written in natural language and generate human-like responses.

The release is currently in limited preview, and sign-ups are not yet available to all users.

Meanwhile, Google and Baidu are among several companies that have announced the integration of AI models in their search engines, as the AI race heats up.

Many have shared their experiences with the use of bing’s chat system which is enabled by a ChatGPT-like AI model, and it seems that they’re loving it. Personally, I find it not much expressive as compared to the actual ChatGPT opensource playground.

Responses from bing’s chat system are primarily based on search results which makes it limited in some sense. Although it’s not very expressive in terms of giving responses, the combination of search and ChatGPT is great since it lists all relevant sources of the given responses.
